All trailers/vehicles must be inspected before marketed for sale. There will be a fee of $100.00 for this inspection. Part of the inspection includes inspection of the entire brake assembly. If the trailer has not had a wheel service in the last 12 months, it will be required before consignment and an estimate will be given for any additional work. We will check the dates on your tires. Any tires that are over 7 years old are subject to replacement based on DOT Standards. The trailer needs to be able to pass NC DOT safety inspection before consignment.

Living Quarter trailers and Motorhomes will be inspected and diagnosed to verify everything is in working order. We highly recommend and suggest that the trailer/vehicle is in sellable condition. Owner is responsible for paying for any work that needs to be completed before the unit is placed on the lot.

All vehicles must be safe to demonstrate/show customers. Any hazards to customer/cargo safety (e.g. excess rot/corrosion on floors in horse trailers, leaky roofs, mold, exposed and/or frayed wiring, excessive rust on trailer frames) identified by TOEC must be remedied or the vehicle shall be refused for consignment.

When the trailer is sold to a new customer, it will take at least 14 business days to receive your payoff. If trailer/vehicle has not sold within 90 days, the consignor has 7 working days from the end of the contract to pick up the unit or review the existing contract for renewal. If the trailer/vehicle owner no longer wishes to sell the trailer/vehicle, the owner will pay TOEC a separate fee of $300.00 for the time invested into the marketing of the trailer/vehicle.
