How the selling process works.

We pride ourselves on offering a selling process where "everyone wins." Our process is simplistic with no hidden fees.

1. Value Assessment

Before we can make a sound offer, we must assess the market to determine the value of your unit. This can be done virtually by sending pictures or videos or bringing your unit by. Please call ahead for an appointment.

2. Schedule a Walk-Around

Trailers of the East Coast must thoroughly inspect all trailers/vehicles we purchase. We inspect the wheels/tires, brakes, all systems, and structural elements. Cleanliness affects value – the cleaner your unit comes in, the higher the value.

3. Let's Talk Numbers

We will make you an offer and we will write you a check on the spot. If your unit requires a payoff, we will work with you to handle all of these details. We handle all title work and payoffs.

How the consignment process works.

We pride ourselves on offering a Consignment Process where "everyone wins." Our process is simplistic with no hidden fees.

1. Value Assessment

Before the consignment process can truly begin, we must assess the market to determine the value of your unit. From there, we will be upfront about all fees associated with consigning your unit and discuss the amount of money you need to make from the sale.

2. Check the Vitals

Trailers of the East Coast must thoroughly inspect all trailers/vehicles. This includes a brake inspection. We charge $100 for our technicians to assess your unit.

3. Wheel Service & Maintenance

A wheel service within the last 12 months is required. Our Service Department can do a wheel service if one has not been completed. This is required to ensure the safety and peace of mind for the next owner.

4. Tire Replacement

All tires over 6 years old, no matter the wear, will be subject to replacement based on DOT Standards. The unit must be able to pass NC DOT safety inspection before consignment.

5. Systems Check for Go

We highly recommend that the trailer/vehicle is in sellable condition, meaning all major appliances and functions be in working order.

6. Cleaning & Details

The cleaner your unit comes in, the quicker it will be listed for sale. Please clean the inside and outside of your unit. We can clean your unit for you. However, additional fees and delays may apply.

7. Safety Check

All vehicles must be safe. We stand behind our inventory and it is essential that any unit we sell is safe and reliable for the next owner.
