Questions to Consider Before Purchasing a Motor Coach

Life is just better on the open road! And if you’ve ever owned or are considering owning a motor coach, you know that it’s true. RVs or motorhomes provide the best of both worlds when it comes to travel – the freedom to adventure within all the comforts of home. At Trailers of the East Coast, we are proud to be an RV dealer that carries only the finest from Renegade. With our expert product specialists, we also know exactly what questions you need to consider before purchasing your motorhome. Read below to find out which motor coach might be right for you to get your adventure started.

How long do you want your motor coach on the road?

While all of our motor homes are livable, some require a hookup at a campsite while others can remain off the grid for 2 weeks or more. If you’re looking to go boondocking (or dry camping) without hookups to electrical power, water, and sewage, you might want to consider the Valencia, Verona, Verona LE, or Explorer models

These Renegade campers have a minimum of 150-gallon water capacity, 150-gallon capacity for gray and black water tanks (for plumbing and sewage), diesel generators that can run up to 10,000 hours, three 175-watt solar panels, and more. If you’re wanting to dry camp without worrying about plugging into a site, the Valencia or Verona models are your best bet.

What do you want to haul with your motor home?

If you’re wanting to haul a tow-behind trailer for your primary vehicle or an additional trailer, consider the tow capacity of the motor coach you’re purchasing. For the Vienna, your motor coach can serve as your primary vehicle, which means no need to tow-behind. Once you graduate to the Valencia, the towing capacity is 12,000 pounds and it increases to 20,000 pounds of towing capacity (plus about 6,500 pounds on board carrying capacity) on the Verona, Verona LE, and the Explorer.

How fast do you want to go in your coach?

When you think about towing additional weight behind your motor coach (as well as hauling everything on board), you want to consider what kind of power you need to get where you’re going. If you’re a mountain lover and plan to take steep inclines in your RV, consider the Verona LE or even the Explorer. With incredible torque, your Explorer can zip up a mountain with no problem.

Do you have a trade-in?

At Trailers of the East Coast, we always want to make the purchasing process as simple as can be for our customers, which is why we offer trade-in capabilities. If you’re looking to upgrade to a newer or larger coach, our team of trade-in specialists will make sure to get you the most bang for your buck to make the transition to your next motor coach smooth and affordable. Plus, this means we also offer certified pre-owned motor coaches, inspected and cared for to give you peace of mind in purchasing your next coach.
